Transforming ideas into tangible actions. A call to collective action for everyone to contribute to building a future where life is good.

Countdown is a global initiative that promotes and accelerates solutions to the climate crisis by transforming ideas into tangible actions. The 2025 edition of TEDxBrussels Countdown brings together local and international stakeholders to share their ideas on energy, water management, biodiversity, and climate justice.

The event takes place on November 18, 2025, in the evocative setting of the Dinosaur Gallery at the Institute of Natural Sciences. A symbolic place that reminds us of the consequences of drastic changes on the planet and invites us to write a different story for our future.

Participants and speakers, young people, scientists, activists, economic players, and engaged citizens, meet to discuss the energy transition, adaptation to water challenges, the protection of urban biodiversity, and equity in the face of climate change. Together, they explore how to reset our urban, economic, and social systems to achieve the 2030 climate goals, a crucial step towards carbon neutrality by 2050.

This is not just a theoretical discussion, but a call to action. Countdown invites each participant to consider how, individually and collectively, we can contribute to a future where life is good, for Brussels and beyond.

Through these exchanges, we are building a new climate narrative, where each idea becomes a building block to construct a regenerative economy adapted to current challenges. This event is for anyone who is determined to understand and act on the climate crisis, and who wants to actively participate in the transformation necessary for a sustainable future.
