Datawareness

April 17, 2024
13:00 - 17:00
FARI AI Institute
An immersive exploration of data collection in public spaces and the impact of artificial intelligence.

In an increasingly connected world, data collection in public spaces raises crucial questions about privacy and ethics. TEDxBrussels Datawareness invites participants to delve into the heart of these issues in a unique event that combines urban exploration and critical reflection.

The day begins with a captivating Data Walk through the streets of Brussels, where participants, divided into three groups, discover the complex relationship between data collection and its influence on the city. This interactive journey provides a better understanding of how data is collected, processed and used in the urban environment.

Back at FARI, the Center of Excellence in AI, the event takes on a new dimension with a series of immersive activities. A workshop explores the practical applications of data collection, while an artistic performance stimulates creativity by offering a different perspective on the subject. An in-depth discussion explores the nuances and implications of AI in data management, paving the way for rich and stimulating exchanges.

The day ends with a convivial moment where participants can meet over refreshments to exchange ideas and forge links. This educational and interactive event is aimed at anyone interested in how technology and data shape our daily lives, particularly in public spaces.
